The Homewood-Flossmoor and Olympia Fields Park Districts at Irons Oaks Environmental Learning Center are seeking an Adventure Center Staff and Program Supervisor.

This position is responsible for scheduling staff and groups, training staff in teams and high ropes, conducting teacher trainings, creating and delivering community adventure programs and keeping registration and staff data organized and current. The Staff and Program Supervisor evaluates staff, conducts needed trainings and fills in with groups, as needed. In addition, this position creates, supervises and develops summer adventure camps.

Requirements:

1. Degree in recreation, community programming, education or related field.
2. Minimum of two years experience in leading team development programs.
3. Minimum of two years experience in leading high ropes programs.
4. Skilled in providing excellent customer service.
5. Experience in conducting trainings for staff and clients.
6. Experience in developing on-site and outreach programs.
7. Skilled with computer programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Access. 8. RecTrac experience and tracking budgets preferred.
8. Marketing and website experience preferred.
9. ACCT Practitioner or Challenge Course Manager certification preferred.

The Irons Oaks Adventure Center has provided quality team development experiences for over 20 years. Irons Oaks serves clientele from the Chicago metropolitan region and surrounding counties. Groups include, but are not limited to, schools, sports teams, corporate groups, teachers, youth groups, clubs, and churches. Equipment includes two 30? ropes courses, a 35? climbing wall with four belay points, a power/pamper pole, crate stacking and over 20 low elements.
